Angela Postweiler’s artistic activity is characterized by her careful research of and attention to different epochal and personal compositional styles, inspiring her individual interpretations.

She began her musical education in Freiburg im Breisgau and continued her studies in early music with Harry van der Kamp and Katharina Rikus in Bremen.

In addition to her frequent appearances as a lied and oratorio singer, she collaborates with artists of diverse stylistic backgrounds to create innovative, interdisciplinary scenic productions.

Angela Postweiler worked with Komische Oper Berlin, ensemble tm+ (Paris), ensemble mosaik, RIAS Kammerchor, Vocalconsort Berlin, Asko|Schönberg, vocaalLAB nederland, Klangforum Heidelberg und Gesualdo Consort Amsterdam and with composers like Younghi Pagh-Paan, Jörg Birkenkötter, Charlotte Seither, Enno Poppe, Trond Reinholden, Ondrej Adamek, Sergej Newski, Ali Gorji as well as in festivals such as Märzmusik, Platforma Moskau, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, Festival Oude Muziek, Holland Festival, Berliner Tage für Alte Musik, Salzburg Biennale, KlaraFestival, MAfestival and at the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts.

2010-2014 she teached early-music singing at the University of the Arts Bremen.
